The Argyll Arms
Named after John Campbell, 2nd Duke of Argyll, this Grade II listed pub has existed since 1742 and is right next door to Oxford Street tube station. The beautiful wood and etched glass partitions that once separated different social classes into "snugs" miraculously survived the Blitz, as have the original mahogany screen, bar counter, panelling and mirrors. Rumour has it that a secret tunnel once connected directly to the nearby Palladium theatre. Today, you can give yourself the star treatment with a pint of outstanding ale and a hearty meal at the Palladium bar upstairs.
Fabulous Fish & Chips
We take immense pride in our fish and chips, a longstanding British favourite. That's why all our of fish are battered on site and coated in deliciously crisp traditional beer batter.
